Embrace entrepreneurial, innovative spirit Ebonyi Commissioner urges youth

The Ebonyi State commissioner for Skill Development and Job Creation, Hon Elijah Oko Okwu Udu has  charged the youths in the state to embrace entrepreneurial and innovative spirit to move the state forward. Hon Okwu Udu who gave the advice at the weekend during the Ebonyi State Entrepreneurship  and Economic Development Summit held at Re- Meritona Hotel, Abakaliki further urged them to see themselves  as architects of their future.  The Summit which has its theme   "The Story Behind the Glory ICED Noble's Young Entrepreneurship Concept" was organized by Nobles Young Entrepreneurship Concept in collaboration with Ebonyi State Government the Ministry of finance and economic development, Ministry of Youth development and Sports and the Ministry of Skill Development and Job Creation in partnership with BERWO  The  Commissioner who emphasized the importance of youths embracing new knowledge in all its forms and seeking mentorship from those who had walked the path before them encouraged them to find their calling and pursue it with unwavering dedication, and to achieve greatness in their endeavours. "To our youth, I say this: You are the architects of your future. Do not be confined by the limitations of the past or the constraints of societal expectations. Believe in your potential, embrace the entrepreneurial spirit, and dare to dream big". "Today, we are here to encourage our youth to create their own paths, to become pioneers in their chosen fields, and to leave indelible marks on the sands of time.Our summit brings together an illustrious panel of speakers—renowned entrepreneurs, captains of industries, career professionals, and exceptional politicians. Each of these individuals has a story to tell, a journey filled with trials and triumphs, challenges and victories. They stand as living proof that success is not a product of one's background but a testament to one's resilience, determination, and vision". The Commissioner who commended the governor for approving the summit extolled the energy the youths brought to the event, saying that the gathering showed the incredible power that lay within the youths to reshape the narrative of Ebonyi State  and dismantle age-old stereotypes. "This gathering signifies a pivotal moment in our collective journey to reshape the narrative of Ebonyi State, to dismantle age-old stereotypes, and to forge a path toward a brighter, more prosperous future for our youth. As we convene today, our primary goal is clear: to educate, inspire, and empower. We are here to challenge the derogatory stereotype of "nwa Abakaliki" and to affirm that our young people are capable of achieving greatness, of becoming trailblazers in entrepreneurship and economic development
