Foundation advocates entrepreneurship as panacea for self reliance

Group under the auspices of Izhi Entrepreneurs Foundation has called on their youth to engage more into entrepreneurship describing it as panacea for self reliant.
The foundation in this year's annual meeting with theme entitled: Izhi Man And Entrepreneurship; Changing The Narrative 11 held in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state capital harped on dignity in labour.
According to the Executive Director Maben Global Resources Ltd who doubles as the national president, Sct Benjamin Nwebonyi explained that the foundation with focus to reshaping the mind of the youth towards businesses said that giving much priority to politics and civil service have affected many lives negatively and charged the Izhi speaking young people to take more proactive steps for self realization.
According to him, "This is the second annual meeting the foundation is having and have been supportive to members randomly with over two million naira to improve their own businesses.
"The idea is to encourage Izhi people to be self reliant and look for solutions to problems around them, and doing that will attract more money into their pockets knowing that civil service and politics aren't the only way to earning meaningful livelihood.
Also speaking, the national secretary and Executive Director, Voi Finishing Ltd, comrade Vincent Ibina admonished the youth of Izhi land to rise to the challenge posed by the recent economic downturn and engage more meaningfully in business for overall prosperity of the state.
Also, one of the resource persons, Mr Obinna Ndukwe, Executive Director of Fortunelink Digital while explaining the importance of a business plan to an entrepreneur described it as a compass that guide an entrepreneur on path to building a successful entreprise.
He encourage the youth to venture into content creation and other forms of legitimate businesses.
He added that the important of SWOT analysis to a business cannot be overemphasized noting that such help one to know his or her strength and how to take advantage of it to the success of their business.
On their part, the executive chairman of Abakaliki Local Government Area and his Izzi counterpart,Barr. Emenike Nwamkpa and federal Commissioner for National Population Commission, Dr Jeremiah Nwankwegu commended the organizers for the great initiative and enjoined participants to shun kindred dichotomy while admonishing them to practice what they learnt during the event
Meanwhile, one of the resource persons, Mrs Susan Nwogbaga while speaking on the theme ; dignity in Labour charged the ladies to adopt those men who have set pace in the history of Izhi land with every sense of dignity in their business pursuit.
