Group passes vote of no confidence on Ebonyi Senator over poor performance

A group under the umbrella of Ebonyi Central Youth Forum, ECYF has described the one year in office of the Senator representing Ebonyi Central Senatorial District in Ebonyi State, Sen Kenneth Eze as an abysmal failure.
According to the group, the Senator’s one year in office was unimpressive as it lacked the needed enthusiasm and genuine service to the people of the zone, hence, they passed a vote of no confidence on his poor performance. In a swift reaction, the Media Aide to the Senator, Mr Godwin Okafor said: “Don’t mind those people. After the function those that came went home happily and Oga gave them money. "Bags of fertilizer was shared to all the Wards across Ebonyi Central zone of the State as money was given to the beneficiaries to transport their fertilizers. He presented his score card and those that were in attendance including Stakeholders were happy.” Continuing, the group led by Mr Clinton Igwe said that the people of Ebonyi Central Senatorial Zone are yet to feel the deep rooted impact of his representation at the National Assembly adding that his high-handedness, pride and overbearing nature towards the people of the zone have brought further hardship and economic deprivation on the people. Igwe, while speaking to newsmen shortly after the Constituency Briefing by the lawmaker at Ezza South Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, noted that the people will not allow any imposition of ungrateful politicians on the party again adding that while others are benefiting from the goodwill of their representatives, the people of Ebonyi Central have not felt any superlative impact by the Senator, representing the zone. He described as regrettable and unfortunate that a Senator would openly inform stakeholders of the zone that he bought exercise book to write down names of vulnerable and less privileged persons in the zone that he gave N10,000 financial assistance. “We, the youths of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC from Ebonyi Central Senatorial zone want to unequivocally say that we are disappointed in the representation of Senator Ken Eze. “We have to hide our faces in shame when he announced right before the over 40 media houses both National and Local, that he bought two exercise books and directed One Philip, his Aide to be writing names of vulnerable and less privileged persons in the zone he gave N10,000 financial assistance. “It is highly unacceptable and unfortunate that the rural women who campaigned for him under the sun and rain, risked their lives to vote for him even when it was obvious that he is an unpopular candidate had to be degraded in such a manner. “The fertilisers he shared is even less than what we expected. He shared about 900 while those of our representatives on the House of Representatives shared about 1500. Everything he brings to us is often in short supply. Even the food that was shared was in short supply as some people went home more hungrier than they came. “We are passing a Vote of No Confidence on the Senator for treating our people with the feeling of disdain and the requisite love that a representative should demonstrate towards the people he call his own.” An Ebonyi politician who didn’t want his name in print said:”This show of shame again! I attended just to see things for myself. Though on an invitation otherwise I know who he is. I fueled my car with 20k just to witness a long speech that ended with nothing. “He pronounced 20 bags of fertilizers to wards with one hundred thousand naira. Each Ward has over five hundred participants. What a show of disgrace? What a disappointment? Thank God for RT Hon comr Chinedu Ogah OON for whom we are well pleased. He wouldn’t behave like this man. “Sen. Engr Ken Eze just invited us to come over and witness the painting of his new mansion built from the money made from the national assembly. This is making it two times he shamelessly organized a useless event. Let’s meet again in 2027.May all of us have reason to endure it and wait until 2027. he retorted.
