Igbeagu stakeholders applaud Gov Nwifuru for creating more autonomous communities

The palace of traditional ruler of Igbeagu autonomous community,His Royal Highness, Eze Michael Ukwa was a beehive of activities yesterday as Stakeholders of the community gathered in appreciation to the Ebonyi state governor, Francis Nwifuru for the approval of four new autonomous communities in Igbeagu community of Izzi Council area of the state.
The people equally appreciated speaker and members of Ebonyi state House of Assembly for giving accent to the bill adding that the creation of new autonomous communities would help curtain insecurity at the once volatile boundary area.
The traditional ruler, Eze Ukwa who described the approval as the biggest gift from government in the recent time explained that the agitation for more autonomous communities became necessary since the steady unrest at the border community stating that governor Nwifuru's led government has further proven to be of people's charter of needs administration.
He equally appealed to the state government to review the National Boundary Commission,NBC's intervention as to show clear boundary between Ukele of Cross River and Igbeagu autonomous communities as to curtain unwarranted resurgence of communal crisis between the two sister states.
Speaking, the zonal leader, Nchoko Igbeagu community, High Chief Simeon Nweze described the community creation as timely and added that the new areas created had suffered alot of marginalization, calling on their stakeholders to unite together to install Godly leaders.
The Secretary of Eze-in-council Igbeagu autonomous community, Chief Nwoba Daniel said the creation of the additional autonomous communities was a long agitation come true and thanked governor Nwifuru for listening to the yearning of the people.
Also, the permanent Secretary, Ministry of Work, Chief Monday Nkwede and Coordinator, Igbeagu Development Center,Mr Obinna Nwedu and his counterpart in security, Mr Chiboy Nwenyi appreciated the state governor, Nwifuru for his developmental strides in the state and for responding to the long time need of Igbeagu people.
Meanwhile, other stakeholders, including Chief Jonas Ibaki, permanent secretary Ministry of Work, Chief Monday Nkwede,Ndubia Igbeagu zonal leader,High Chief Peter Nweze, Councillor Ndietta Igbeagu Ward 11,Chief Augustine Nwibo and the national youth president, Comrade Paul Isha said that the new development would make government closer to the people while minimize insecurity to the barrest minimum.
Our Correspondent reports that the event attracted zonal Chiefs, village heads of over sixty villages, and host of other stakeholders.
