The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN chairman, South East region, Rev Fr Abraham Nwali has proffered solutions to the leadership decay in Nigeria that prompted the#EndBadgovernance protest.
The Catholic priest, Fr Nwali made the disclosure in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state capital.
Reverend Nwali who challenged federal government to provide employment to the jobless youths describing unemployment as the greatest tsunami that needed to tackled with immediacy.
He called on protesters to be on the side of president Bola Tinubu explaining that the failure in leadership could be tamed if the federal government would practice some ideas suggested against the popular distribution and allocation of palliatives to different states of the federation.
"Leadership is all of a challenge, and all I am asking is that they(protesters) should be by the side of Mr president.
" I offered five solutions and if federal government practice that five solutions and have any challenge should call me and that's: social security, health insurance, infrastructural revolution, employment and let the people be in charge of their security.
"The whole world is on social security; we must have a stipend to give to everybody that's not doing anything in this country. A country without social security cannot curtains bandits, the poor and the vulnerable ones.
"Secondly,Health insurance, this is one of the challenges facing the country as there are many people dying and decaying even for an ordinary disease that could have been curbed in the course of medical care, so until Nigeria begins to offer either comprehensive Health Care or primary Health Care by the way of health care services, we are not doing anything about it.
"Also, Infrastructural development which means concession, we don't need palliative, Bishops Conference of Nigeria called it intimidation and those who want to use raw language called it, dash them peanut, that they may shut their mouth.
"So, instead of the palliative, have the oil subsidy, reduce the tariff, provide the food, get companies build, engage the youths on employment and Nigeria will be well again.
"Finally, the issue of Security system should be everybody's concern; I reminded them(leaders) that, very soon, nobody will be going to his village; they'll do the enumeration of those who are doing well and tell you how much to prepare or get eliminated.
"All you need to do to these young lads,is to build companies to engage them as Nigeria is full of gross, grave, and incapacitated youths of no future because we refused to engage them, again, about our security, everybody is concerned like I said, especially our South East Governors, give a mandate that our forests should be cleared to have clear views and our traditional rulers, village Heads, and youths and everybody should be in charge, let our people be in charge of their security while government should pay them stipend to go to the bush while you give the forest guards the license to control the areas with arms and our forests will be safe."
