Ebonyi New Commissioner of Police Assumes Duty

The new Ebonyi state Commissioner of Police, CP Anthonia Adaku Uche-Anya, has officially assumed office today at the Command Headquarters in Abakaliki.
CP Uche-Anya, who's the 27th Commissioner of Police in the state, hails from Nwangele Local Government Area of Imo State. In a statement issued by the State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Joshua Ukandu revealed that CP Uche-Anya has held various key positions throughout her career. According to DSP Ukandu, The new Commissioner has served as CSP ‘A’ at the Lagos State Command, Legal Officer in the Legal Section of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja, Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the Lion Building Division and Ikoyi Division of the Lagos State Command. Following her promotion to Assistant Commissioner of Police, CP Uche-Anya served as Area Commander in Umuahia, Abia State Command, Coordinator of the CP Crack Squad in Abia, and Coordinator of the Special Operations Squad in Delta State. She also held the position of Assistant Commissioner of Police (AC) in charge of the Special Enquiry Bureau at FCID, Force Headquarters, Abuja and several other positions before her appointment. However, the Commissioner expressed her dedication to efficient policing across Ebonyi State and urged for collaboration from the public and relevant stakeholders in discharging her responsibilities in the state.
