Just In: Ebonyi Govt Approves Proposal For Purchase of Football Club

In their strive to participate in the 2024/2025 Nigerian National Football League, Ebonyi state governor, Francis Nwifuru has approved for the state purchase of football club.
The state Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Engr Jude Okpor made this known while briefing Journalists on the outcome of the state Executive Council, Exco meeting on Wednesday. Okpor, who noted that the decision was in line with governor Nwifuru's Peoples Charter of Needs manifestos said that the Exco also approved for the training of one hundred Ebonyians on electrical maintainance and installation. The state Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Engr Okpor further emphasized that the Executive Council also approved for the construction of pedestrian bridge at the Eke-Imoha market as to forestall incessant waste of lives in the area while awarded the construction of three span bridge,45-mitres with two bulk culverts at Ike River in Ameke at Ishiagu, Ivo Council area among others. He also emphasized that the state has approved for the procurement of twenty buses for Ebonyi State Transport Service (EBOTRANS), hence, appoint Mrs Nnenna Igwe as the General Manager of the transport company. However, Engr Okpor added that the council in effort to boost food security approved for the enrollment of two hundred youths selected across the thirteen local government area of the state to be trained in Nasarawa state.
