IFA 2024: Ekumenyi, 3 Others Qualify for Semi Final~Chairman

The Local Organizing Committee chairman of Izzi Football Association, Mr. George Iboko has said that Ekumenyi, Izzi, Abakaliki and Igbeagu Development Centers are qualified teams to participate in the semi final match that was scheduled to hold tomorrow 20/12/2024. He said that Izzi team would play with Abakaliki at Pa- Ngele Oruta Stadium while Ekumenyi team plays Igbeagu team at Camp David Estate respectively , whereas the grand finale of the competition holds on 26th December, 2024 at Nwofe primary school in Izzi Local Government Area of the state. The Local Organizing Committee chairman urged the players to maintain decorum and show high level of spirit of sportsmanship in their own best interest while wishing the teams a successful outing. Speaking shortly at college of mercy after the competition, the Coordinator of Ekumenyi Development Center, Hon. Chika Nwibo expressed joy on the performance of his team at the competition and thanked the players for making it to semi final even as he expressed optimism that his Development Center team would come first in the match grand finale as a defending champion. The coach of Ekumenyi Development Center, Mr Igwe Samuel praised his team for winning their Nnodo counterpart, adding that God saw them through despite that the match was tough. He advised his team to remain focus and dedicated by facing their opponent squarely so as to win the competition. The coach of Nnodo Development Center, Arizechukwu Kingsley appreciated his team for playing gallantly despite that they later loose the match and urged IFA to engage sports analyst for more optimal service delivery.
