e-ticket: Ebonyi Govt Declares Free Registration of TIN

Ebonyi State Government has called on tricycle operators otherwise known as Keke riders and motorcycle operators to obtain their Tax Identification Number,(TIN) free of charge.
The Executive Chairman, Ebonyi State Board of Internal Revenue,Honourable Christopher Omo Isu made the disclosure in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state capital. Omo-isu noted that the decision was to ensure that all commercial riders are captured into the state tax net and the profiling for e-ticketing which registration exercise has begun over a month now. He explained that the e-ticketing structure was designed and structured for easy payment of their daily government toll at an amount less than the known toll, even as it would be payable at ones comfort, starting from the 1st of January 2025. "The government of Ebonyi State, through the Ebonyi State Board of Internal Revenue Service wishes to inform the keke and Okada riders to go and register for their TIN for FREE. "This has been since a month ago at the Staff development center, Kpirikpiri, Lot 3 gate international market and in all the 13 Local Government Headquarters for FREE. "The exercise is structured for easy payment of their daily government toll at an amount less than the present toll that will be payable at your comfort, starting from the 1st of January 2025."he said The Board Chairman tasked the operators to comply with the directive as they continue to support the People's Charter of Needs agenda of Governor Nwifuru's led Government.
