NNL: Ebonyi SWAN Applaud Abakaliki FC Players Over Excellent Performances

The Executives and members of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, (SWAN), Ebonyi state chapter wish to express satisfaction with the first outing of the State owned Football Club, Abakaliki FC and Madiba FC. The expression, is contained in a statement signed by the Chairman of Ebonyi State SWAN, Mr. Emmanuel Nnaji who noted that Sports Writers in the State is confident that the State owned team codenamed De Rice Boys would do well in their subsequent matches following their fighting spirit.

SWAN also commended the Management of the Team and the Commissioner for Youth Development and Sports, Hon Richard Idike for working tirelessly to host NNL match in Pa Ngele Oruta Township Stadium Abakaliki and described it as sign that sporting activities have bounced back to life in Ebonyi State.

"Members of Sports Writes Association in Ebonyi State are committed to supporting and promoting efforts of De Rice Boys Team and Management to foster a thriving sports culture in the state." The executives and members wish the Management and the Players a successful league season and look forward to collaborating with them to promote sports excellence in Ebonyi State."
