UK scholarship: Nwifuru raising fresh pillars of hope~Ex Abakaliki Council Boss
The former caretaker chairman of Abakaliki Local Government Area, and Board of Trustee Chairman, Izzi Nnodo Youth Forum, Comrade Ben Nwovu has described the enrollment of the 204 Ebonyi first class indigenous graduates to study in United Kingdom as raising another fresh pillars of hope in the state.
Comrade Nwovu who acknowledged the impact of the scholarship scheme to the growth of the state said that Governor Nwifuru gave Ebonyi youth the greatest gift using the initiative.
He expressed gratitude to the state governor for the sincere empowerment programme and for thinking Ebonyi first in all his policies and programmes and urged beneficiaries not to abuse the opportunity for the generality of the well being of the state.
He further commended the wife of the Governor, Mrs Mary-Maudline Nwifuru and state Executive Council members for their support to the ongoing administration appealing for more support to make all the policies of the people charter needs of the governor a reality.
He also called on the youth to continue imbibing good conducts and engage in more skills while supporting the All Progressives Congress government of Governor Francis Nwifuru to ensure more graduates are enrolled in the scheme.
