"Your coming to officially congratulate me today, is highly appreciated. This shows that charity begins at home, and I can't take it for granted. "It's quite unfortunate that I have not been coming to the meeting because its scheduled time used to fall in when I couldn't make it to be present. "I believe now, if I have adequate information, I will be attending the meeting, especially as the Chairman of Elders' Council. I'm grateful and accept your appointment. I remember the last time we met at the Ogodo Bush Bar Abakaliki town when I told you that I was running for the chairmanship position of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Ebonyi State Council. "You gave me all your support and prayers, eventually, it was a success because I won that election - it was a victory for all!
"I thank God this was part of your visit to me today. There's nothing much to say except to welcome and thank you for coming to honour me. It simply shows that you have me at heart for the progress of Ebonyi State, especially when the President mentioned and promised to uphold the People's Charter of Needs, the leadership agenda of our programmatic Governor, His Excellency Rt Hon Builder Francis Nwifuru. "Anything that concerns the progress of Ebonyi State is always my top priority, and I can keep other things aside to ensure it takes effect positively and immediately. "So, I'm grateful, and I want to urge you to continue to support His Excellency the Governor anywhere you can to ensure his administration agenda is fulfilled successfully. "As an Izhi man, try to be an ambassador that anywhere you appear you try to represent the governor in a good light. "You should be conscious about whatever you do because it's the image of the governor will be at stake if it goes otherwise. "Always support the Governor no matter the condition, bearing in mind, whatever that happens we are in it together. You have to always pray for him because it's not easy. Pray for him to survive every tribulation and trial, that may come his way during his administration. "With that, I believe we are going to make it because this is getting two years into his administration as fourth Executive Governor of the Ebonyi State, and by May 29th this year, he will give two years report cards," the DG said. Earlier, the National President of Izzi Media Workers, Comrade Emmanuel Nwiz, congratulated Comrade Tony Nwizi for having performed creditably well in various positions he occupied, which, according to him, led to his recent appointment as the Director General of the state-owned broadcast station, EBBC.
