The Senator representing Ebonyi South Senatorial district, Senator Professor Anthony Okorie Ani has attributed his impactful achievements so far to divine providence as he was not part of 2024, National Assembly budget.
He made this known on Friday 18th April, 2025 in his Abakaliki residence while addressing the mammoth crowd that felicitated with him during Easter celebration.
He disclosed that the situation was prompted by his lateness at the red chamber as he alongside two others joined in the legislative business on 13th February, 2024 after their respective by-elections conducted by Independent National Electoral Commission whereas the rest senators elected during the last general election had begun on 4th July, 2023.
The Senator further disclosed that despite his non-inclusiveness in the financial plan that he had carried out some laudable projects involving empowerments, scholarships and also engaged many of his constituents in juicy federal jobs.
“Despite the fact that a dime was not given to me then but I was able to do my bit but notwithstanding, I am fully ready to execute the already attracted projects satisfactorily as soon as the processes of procurements are completed” he explained.
He also said that he would not relent in making significant contributions at the senate chamber and mentioned some projects already at the pipe line to include establishment of Information and Communication Technology, construction of roads and installation of solar streets lights across communities among others.
Senator Ani assured of fulfilling all his electioneering promises and charged everyone to exercise patience and support the All Progressive Congress led administration at all levels.
