Anniversary: Gov. Nwifuru Talks Tough, Says Era Not Time For Political Patronage

Ebonyi state Governor, Francis Nwifuru has challenged all his appointees to rise to their responsibilities stating that the era of political patronage has gone as the remaining part of his administration would be use to deliver fully his People's Charter of Needs manifesto to his people.
Governor Nwifuru made the disclosure during anniversary lecture marking his two years in office at the Re Meritona Hotel in Abakaliki advising political office holders to go closer to their people as to effect good governance at the grass root. He advised political office holders to build on legacy projects knowing that they would one day bow out of office, and would be remembered with their impacts while in power. He further explained that Ogoja road was designed with more than two-lane from the creation of the state and blamed some persons using government influence to built against the design of the state saying that abuse of the law is no excuse. He assured of compensation to owners of building affected at Vanco Junction demolition due to ongoing flyover in the area and appreciated Ebonyians for their support to his administration.
