20-year-after: Couple Dedicates First Child To God At Onicha

About 50 years old man, Mr. Moses Ngwu Agbafor and his wife, Mrs. Nnenna Moses on Sunday 8th June 2025 presented their first child, Master Smile Ugochukwu Moses to God at Mountain of Fire and Miracles Church, Enuagu Onicha.
Speaking during the reception party at their home Ufueze Umuocha, Igboeze Onicha Autonomous Community, Onicha LGA of Ebonyi State, Mrs. Nnenna Moses described the past nineteen years of her marriage as period of anxiety which she could not wish other women to notice in life.
According to the woman, she had spent a lot of her resources on various medications and local remedies in search of the fruit of womb until last year that she miraculously took in and thanked God for granting her long awaited request through the baby.
“If God could remember me on the 20th year of my marriage, I am advising others with similar experience to wait patiently upon the Lord, I am still appealing that they should always identify with people over their fortune as good things are contagious too” she said.
Mr. Ngwu, on his part said that they had taken a great quantity of concoctions and medicines before his family was blessed with the baby boy and thanked the people for their various contributions during the trial period.
“The past 19 years of childlessness were not easy in my life that I do not wish for someone else but notwithstanding, I really thanked my wife for being a visible comforter in my life throughout the period” he said.
Mr. Moses further added that the essence of naming the child Smile was to wipe away the period of worry in their memories psychologically and advised others with similar situation to hope in God.
The Chairman, Ufueze Umuocha Development Union, Mr. Igwe Nwankwo described the baby and his dedication as a source of joy to the people and added that the mammoth crowd at the event was a clear testimony of Mr. Moses’ generosity to the society.
He applauded the people for gracing the event and prayed God to extend a similar gift to other couples with similar cases.
The child’s paternal uncle, Mr. Anthony Chukwuma Nwite and Mrs. Mary Ngwu respectively thanked God for answering the prayer of the couple through little Master Smile Ugochukwu Moses.
They further advised Mr. Moses and his wife to intensify their faith in God as a token of appreciation for the gift of the child and thereby prayed that the boy would be an open door for his incoming siblings.
The celebrant’s brother in-law, Mr. Stephen Okike Akpa commended Mr. Ngwu and his wife for the display of patience, thanked all for identifying with the family during their travail and advised the parents to prepare towards giving the child adequate training.
Other invitee, Mr. Igwe Ibere commended the couple for being patient with God rather than running from one fetish or spiritual home to another in search of the child at all costs.
“Since Moses and his wife have been blessed with Smile, I believe that we shall soon come back to celebrate Laughter in their family” he said.
