Apostle Nwaze to Nigerian Leaders: Focus on Alleviating Hardship, Not 2027 Politics
The Lead Pastor of Mount Zion Foundation Gospel Revival Mission, Uburu, Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Apostle Dr. Nwaze Ogbonnaya, has urged Nigerian leaders to concentrate on addressing the prevailing hardship in the country rather than engaging in early politics ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Apostle Nwaze made the appeal while delivering a sermon during the church’s seven-day holy Christian programme, which was held on August 18, 2025.
Speaking on the theme, “God is Rebuilding His Church,” the cleric drew inspiration from the scriptures, including Exodus 24:1-4, 1 Peter 2:4-5, Jeremiah 23:29, and Acts 7:44-48.
He explained that just as Moses was instructed to build a replica of the heavenly pattern on earth, believers are called to become “living stones” used by God to establish His spiritual church.
“The church is not merely a physical building but a spiritual house formed by believers through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Every Christian is called into some form of ministry or service within the body of Christ,” Apostle Nwaze stated.
He emphasized that God’s Word acts as fire and a hammer, shaping believers into vessels for His purpose, even when the process seems painful.
The cleric also prayed for Nigeria, urging leaders at all levels to prioritize policies and actions that would ease the economic challenges confronting citizens.
“God wants His people to be fixed in their departments of service to build His spiritual church. In the same way, Nigerian leaders must focus on the betterment of citizens, especially in this period of hardship,” he added.
Also ministering at the programme was Evangelist Amarachi Lawrence, who joined in prayers for the nation and thanksgiving to God.
