Ikpeba: Birthday Turns Carnival as Ebonyi PS Celebrates 50th Anniversary

In what looked like a carnival, the country home of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Mr. Monday Nkwede, at Ndigwe Igbeagu Autonomous Community in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, was agog with jubilation as he marked his golden jubilee birthday anniversary.
The celebration attracted top government officials, traditional leaders, family, and friends, who prayed for God’s continuous blessings, replenishment, and good health upon the celebrant as he stepped into a new phase of life.
Speaking at the event, Governor Francis Nwifuru, represented by the Commissioner for Youth Development and Sports, Hon. Richard Idike, congratulated Mr. Nkwuda for his contributions to the growth of Ebonyi State, urging him to remain steadfast in service to humanity.
Also speaking, the Commissioner for Works, Engr. Lebechi Mbam, extolled the celebrant’s impactful lifestyle and described the golden jubilee as the dawn of greater accomplishments. He wished him a brighter political and professional future.
In his goodwill message, the Director-General of Ebonyi Broadcasting Corporation (EBBC), Sir Anthony Nwizi, congratulated Mr. Nkwuda and advised him to draw closer to God as he advances into another cycle of age.
Other dignitaries who felicitated with the celebrant included the Coordinator of Ominyi Development Centre and Chairman of Ebonyi Coordinators’ Forum, Hon. Chidi Ogbonna; the Coordinator of Igbeagu Development Centre, Hon. Theophilus Nwedu; the Chairman of Eze-in-Council, Amegu Autonomous Community, Chief Emmanuel Ede; and Clerk of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Ede Blessing and Hon. Augustine Nwibo, Councillor representing Ndietta Igbeagu ward 1.
They all described Mr. Nkwuda as a seasoned achiever and likened his attainment of 50 years to completing the first half of a football match, praying for divine health, long life, and greater achievements in his remaining years
