Ebonyi: Police Arrest Four Suspected Kidnappers, Recover Stolen Vehicles
The Ebonyi State Police Command has arrested four suspected kidnappers and recovered several stolen vehicles in a major breakthrough against criminal activities in the state.
In a statement issued in Abakaliki, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Joshua Ukandu, disclosed that the operation followed credible intelligence received on September 2, 2025, the operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Squad stormed Nwagana Guest House in Umuhuali, Ishielu Local Government Area, where two male suspects among, Chinedu Okorie and Okpaga Chibueze were arrested with a Lexus car, registration number LSR 895 DB.
According to Sp Ukandu, further interrogation of the suspects reportedly led detectives to Abuja, where two more suspects, Stanley Benson Agada and Joshua Noah Olatunji, were apprehended with four additional stolen vehicles recovered in the process.
He gave details of the vehicles to include:Toyota Corolla (KWL 141 CE),Toyota Highlander Jeep (LSD 589 JX),Toyota Venza (LXR 272 JH) and
Toyota Sienna Bus (RSH 196 DF).
The Police confirmed that the rightful owners of the vehicles, who were victims of kidnapping, have positively identified their cars while arrangements are being made to return the vehicles after due process.
Commenting on the development, the Commissioner of Police, CP Adaku Uche-Anya, reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to combating crime and ensuring lasting peace in the state and urged residents to continue supporting security efforts by providing timely and credible information to the Police.
