A major crisis has hit Francis Frontiers (F-F), a political support group for Ebonyi State Governor, RT Hon. Francis Nwifuru, as some founding members, local government coordinators, and state executives have passed a vote of no confidence on a group they described as a “cartel” within the executive committee.
In a strongly worded statement signed by the aggrieved members among Hon. Victor Aleke, Barr. Ituma Chinedu among others accused the so-called cartel of hijacking the affairs of the platform, sidelining key stakeholders, and engaging in fraudulent activities under the guise of promoting Governor Nwifuru’s administration.
The members, while reaffirming their loyalty to the governor and their commitment to supporting his second-term bid in 2027, alleged that since the official unveiling of the Francis Frontiers platform on March 10, 2025, at Monabliss Hotel and Suites, Abakaliki, the executives have failed to convene proper meetings or evaluations.
They listed several grievances against the cartel to be among the appointments of over 100 persons who were allegedly appointed into positions without consultations.
The communique reads, "We the undersigned foundational members, Local Government Coordinators and State Executives of the Francis Frontiers (F-F) deeply and honestly appreciate every effort by individuals, groups or organs to consolidate the mandate that Ebonyians loudly delivered to our Shepherd-in- Chief His Excellency, Rt. Hon.Bldr Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, FINOB, FCIA, GGCEHF, for his first term in office that will end by 2027.
"We shall therefore, support every arrangement that will ease tension and provide sincere platform for an effortless electioneering process for another four (4) year 2nd term in office of our 'Shepherd -like Lion' leader the executive Governor of Ebonyi State His Excellency, Rt. Hon.Bldr. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, FNIOB, FCIA, GGCEHF.
1.3 Hence, our humble and sincere wait, patience, and verifiable diligent contributions toward sustainable F-F platform from the formation stage.

"Procedually, we all came together, agreed and contributed ( both ideas and money) to provide a platform that can accommodate both old and new supporters of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Bldr. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, FNIOB, FCIA, GGCEHF to consolidate the pyramid base structure and make the administration the most popular ever in Ebonyi State. This was in early December 2024.
"However, after the first programme of 10th March, 2025, for the unveiling of the F-F platform held at MONABLISS HOTEL AND SUITE LIMITED, Abakaliki everything changed.
"There was no assessment and evaluation meeting or engagement afterward.
"There ceased to be any general or executive meeting save for the four(4) man cartel.
"This Cartel unilaterally appointed over 100 persons into various positions/Directorates without recourse to the executives and other stakeholders.
"The same Cartel fired dully elected or selected Local Government Coordinators of Ishielu, Onicha, Ohaozara, and Ohaukwu for no reason other than their selfish and fraudulent intentions.
"They fraudulently excused executives and critical stakeholders out of visits to Ebonyi 'big Boys' and using the same as bargains for the action taken in paragraph "2d" above.
"They have inexcusably excluded the state party APC hierarchy from their selective programmes.
"They have carefully avoided calling meetings, both general and executives meetings, while constantly announcing inside the WhatsApp platforms admission of new members, appointment of persons into positions and high level visitations with huge sums of donations to the cartel while dropping the Governor's name and that of the F-F group.

"We disassociate ourselves wholly and entirely from the fraudulent activities of this self- serving individuals.
" We call on the authorities, namely the State APC Party et al, to call this cartel to order and stop forthwith all activities of F-F until their wrongs are redeemed.
"That His Excellency should note that these were people who never wanted him or supported him and can not act good or close friends while dropping his name for fraudulent ventures.
"That all activities of F-F including but not only Local Government inaugurations should stop until further notice.
The development marks a significant internal rift within the governor’s support base, with observers keenly watching how the matter will be resolved as political activities ahead of 2027 gather momentum.
