Gov. Nwifuru Obsessed with Professionalism – Sen. Ani

By Wilson Ogbonnaya Okereke, Abakaliki The Senator representing Ebonyi South Senatorial District, Professor Anthony Okorie Ani, has applauded Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for prioritizing professionalism in the appointment of members of the newly inaugurated Economic Committee.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after the inauguration, Senator Ani praised the governor’s choice of seasoned technocrats, describing the committee, chaired by former Minister of Power, Professor Barth Nnaji, as a team endowed with the capacity to drive economic transformation in Ebonyi State. He emphasized that revitalizing the power sector would have a ripple effect on every facet of the economy and urged the committee members to justify their appointments by deploying their expertise.

“Why people thrill for Chief Nwifuru is simply because he always goes for the best. He does not joke with professionalism, and that is what makes his style of governance unique,” Ani said. The lawmaker added that the initiative would open opportunities for both the revival and establishment of industries across the state, describing it as a bold step toward industrialization. Senator Ani further called on Nigerians, particularly those in the South East, to continue supporting the All Progressives Congress-led administrations at all levels, noting that the region is beginning to enjoy a stronger sense of belonging under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
