MOI Launches High-Tech Security Patrol Equipped with AI and Smart Surveillance
KUWAIT — The General Department of Security Systems at the Ministry of Interior (MOI) has unveiled a new high-tech security patrol designed to strengthen public safety through artificial intelligence and smart surveillance technologies.
The patrol units are equipped with advanced mobile cameras connected to facial recognition and vehicle license plate detection systems. Using AI, the system processes and matches images with the Ministry’s central databases, allowing for the swift identification of wanted individuals and vehicles.
In addition, the patrols are fitted with mobile biometric devices, direct database connectivity, and a suite of monitoring tools to support officers in the field. Officials say the initiative will improve procedural accuracy, boost response speed, and enhance the overall effectiveness of national security operations.
The Ministry emphasized that the deployment of this technology-driven patrol marks a significant step in its strategy to modernize security infrastructure and provide citizens and residents with improved safety.
