Gov. Nwifuru Mourns Ebonyi’s Pioneer Military Administrator, Walter Feghabor
Ebonyi State Governor,Rt Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of the pioneer Military Administrator of the state, retired Navy Captain Walter Feghabo, describing his passing as a colossal loss to the nation.
In a statement issued on Monday, October 20, 2025, by his Chief Press Secretary, Dr. Monday Uzor, Governor Nwifuru said the late Feghabo would be remembered as a visionary, disciplined, and patriotic leader who laid a solid socioeconomic and political foundation for Ebonyi State at its formative stage.
According to the Governor, the late military administrator demonstrated uncommon courage, foresight, and selflessness in nurturing the dreams of the state’s founding fathers, setting the tone for the developmental trajectory that the present administration is consolidating.
He noted that the story of Ebonyi’s progress would be incomplete without acknowledging the pioneering sacrifices and statesmanship of the late Navy Captain Feghabo.
Governor Nwifuru extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, the Government and people of Bayelsa State, as well as the Nigerian Navy, over the demise of what he described as a gallant officer and true nation builder.
