NSC to Inspect Enugu Sports Facilities Ahead of 2026 National Sports Festival
The National Sports Commission (NSC) has announced plans to embark on an inspection tour of sporting facilities in Enugu State from October 21 to 24, 2025, as part of preparations for the 23rd National Sports Festival tagged “Coal City Games 2026.”
According to the Commission, the inspection is a crucial phase in ensuring that facilities meet the required standards for hosting a world-class sporting event that promotes excellence, unity, and talent development across Nigeria.
The inspection team is expected to evaluate existing infrastructure, assess the level of ongoing upgrades, and interact with key stakeholders to ensure Enugu’s readiness to host athletes, officials, and fans from across the country.
The NSC commended the Enugu State Government for its commitment and proactive measures towards hosting a successful festival, describing the state’s efforts as a reflection of true partnership in advancing Nigeria’s sporting sector.
