Chinedu Ogah Foundation Distributes ₦200m, 12 Trailers of Rice in Ebonyi

The Chinedu Ogah Foundation has distributed ₦200 million in cash and twelve trailers of rice to constituents of Ikwo/Ezza-South Federal Constituency in Ebonyi State.
The distribution took place on Thursday during the 26th Anniversary and Annual Foundation Day celebration of the Foundation at Item Amagu Village, Ikwo Local Government Area.
Speaking at the event, the Member representing Ikwo/Ezza-South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. (Comrade) Chinedu Ogah, OON, urged residents of Ikwo and Ezza-South Local Government Areas to continue supporting the administration of the Ebonyi State Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.
Ogah, who is also Chairman of the House Committee on Reformatory Institutions, said the Foundation’s interventions were aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the People’s Charter of Needs of the Ebonyi State Government.
He disclosed that the empowerment programme covered beneficiaries from all thirty-one wards of the constituency and was aimed at easing economic hardship during the Christmas period. The lawmaker further announced that a larger empowerment programme would be carried out in March 2026 as part of efforts to promote sustainable constituency development.
Chairman of the occasion, Comrade Emmanuel Chukwu, a Director with the Nigerian Aviation Authority, Lagos Branch, commended Ogah for translating government policies into tangible benefits at the grassroots. Other speakers, including Dr. Donatus Ilang, Chief Oguzor Offia-Nwali (JP), and Hon. Humphrey Nwuruku, a former Chief Whip of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, described the large turnout as an indication of public support for the lawmaker. They praised Ogah for prioritising the welfare of his constituents. The distribution exercise was conducted peacefully, with beneficiaries drawn from all parts of the federal constituency. The event attracted dignitaries from within and outside the state, including the Deputy Speaker of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedu Onah; Rt. Hon. Nkemka Onuma Okoro, Member representing Ohaukwu South Constituency; the Commissioner for Education, Chief Donatus Ilang; the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Hon. Oguzor Offia-Nwali (JP); APC leaders led by the Deputy State Chairman, Hon. Chinedu Nwali; as well as representatives of youth groups, support organisations, and cultural associations.
