Ebonyi Poised for Industrial Revolution Under Gov. Nwifuru — Sen. Ani

The Senator representing Ebonyi South Senatorial District, Senator Prof. Anthony Okorie Ani, has declared that Ebonyi State is on the verge of an industrial revolution under the administration of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru. He said the proposed establishment of a state-owned cement factory marks a major turning point in the state’s industrial growth and will significantly improve the lives of the people.
Senator Ani made this known while speaking with newsmen commending Governor Nwifuru for allocating over N884 billion to capital projects in the 2026 budget. He described the financial plan as a transformative blueprint capable of boosting the state’s economy, creating massive employment opportunities, and positively altering the fortunes of citizens. The lawmaker applauded the administration’s commitment to its People’s Charter of Needs, noting that its impact is being felt across various sectors—including prompt payment of pensions and gratuities, comprehensive transformation of schools, improved access to quality healthcare, and enhanced security architecture.
“The budget of over N884 billion, christened ‘Budget of Actualization and Hope’, remains the greatest achievement of Ebonyi State since its creation, as it has the potential to address the yearnings of the citizenry in multiple ways,” he said. Senator Ani appealed for public support and legal backing to ensure that every sector benefits from the implementation of the administration’s policies, describing unity and cooperation as key to achieving the government’s development vision. He further hailed the establishment of the Aeronautic and ICT universities as monumental achievements that will place Ebonyi State on the global academic and technological map. He also commended other leaders and stakeholders for their dedication to service and unwavering support for the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration.
