Just In: Ezza North Legislative Council Suspends Oshiegbe Ward Councillor Over Alleged Gross Misconduct
The Ezza North Legislative Council has suspended the Councillor representing Oshiegbe Ward, Hon. Paul Aluna, for a period of four months over alleged gross misconduct.
The decision was taken on Monday, December 8, 2025, during the council’s plenary session held at the council headquarters in Ebiaji.
According to the suspension letter jointly signed by the Leader of the House, the Clerk, and all ward councillors, Hon. Aluna’s suspension followed allegations bordering on gross misconduct, persistent absenteeism from legislative sittings, repeated attempts to unseat the Leader of Council, and general disobedience to the rules guiding the legislative arm.
The council noted that the actions of the suspended councillor were in violation of established legislative protocols and detrimental to the smooth functioning of the council.
Copies of the suspension letter have been forwarded to the Chairman of Ezza North Local Government Area, Chief Moses Nomeh Ogodoali, and to Hon. Aluna for compliance and further necessary action.
