Nwifuru’s Leadership Style Strengthens Bipartisan Unity in Ebonyi~Aide

The Special Assistant to the Governor on Documentation, Dr. Boniface Nwankwo, has highlighted Governor Francis Nwifuru’s commitment to inclusive governance, describing him as a leader who placed unity and public service above political differences.

In a statement issued on Friday, Dr. Nwankwo said Governor Nwifuru has, since assuming office, maintained a high level of decorum and openness in his interactions, even with perceived political opponents. According to him, the Governor strongly believes that politics is not a contest of enmity, stressing that political differences should never obstruct cooperation for the collective good.

He noted that this philosophy is evident in the Governor’s equal treatment of citizens regardless of political affiliation, as well as his participation in constituency empowerment programmes organized by then-opposition lawmakers, including Hon. Nkemkanma Kama of Ohanivo Federal Constituency and Hon. Joseph Nwaobashi of Ezza North/Ishielu Federal Constituency. Dr. Nwankwo said the Governor’s willingness to attend such events underscores his genuine commitment to partnership beyond party lines. “Once elections are over, governance and service take precedence for Governor Nwifuru,” he stated. The aide added that the Governor has also demonstrated inclusive leadership through appointments that cut across political divides, bringing into government individuals who were previously associated with the Labour Party, PDP, and other opposition platforms. He further explained that the composition of the state’s Economic Advisory Committee reflects this same spirit of diversity, as the Governor deliberately reached out to experts from various political backgrounds to enrich decision-making. According to Dr. Nwankwo, Governor Nwifuru’s public messages during festive seasons such as Christmas, New Year, and Easter consistently promote themes of love, unity, generosity, and social cohesion, reinforcing his belief that politics should never undermine human solidarity. He added that the Governor’s approach to bipartisan collaboration has contributed significantly to the prevailing peace across the state, urging all Ebonyians to emulate his example by promoting mutual respect and shared responsibility. “With values of unity and tolerance, Ebonyi under Governor Francis Nwifuru will continue on a path of peace and prosperity,” he noted.
