Ezeh Declares Interest in Labour Party National Chairmanship

‎A chieftain of the Labour Party, Ezeh Emmanuel Ezeh, has formally declared his intention to contest for the position of National Chairman of the party, pledging to rebuild the party into a modern and inclusive political platform. ‎
‎Ezeh in a statement signed and made available to our correspondent made the declaration on the sidelines of the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, where he said his decision was driven by a deep sense of responsibility and commitment to the growth of the party. ‎ ‎According to him, his aspiration is subject to the decision of the party leadership regarding the zoning of the chairmanship position, noting that he respects the internal processes of the party. ‎ ‎He said his mission, if given the mandate, is to reposition the Labour Party as a strong ideological platform that accommodates entrepreneurs, professionals, business leaders and the working class across the country. ‎ ‎“I offer myself for this role with a clear and unwavering mission to rebuild the Labour Party into a modern, dynamic and inclusive political home for entrepreneurs, professionals, business leaders and the hardworking men and women of Nigeria,” he stated. ‎ ‎Ezeh emphasized that the party must evolve into an ideology-driven political movement capable of providing credible leadership and direction for the nation. ‎ ‎Ezeh Emmanuel Ezeh was the Labour Party candidate for the Abakaliki/Izzi Federal Constituency in the 2023 general election and also contested the party’s governorship ticket in Ebonyi State in 2022.
