Ebonyi: IGA Endorses Gov. Nwifuru As Sole Candidate Come 2027

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎The Igbeagu General Assembly,the umbrella body representing five new autonomous communities in the old Igbeagu area, has declared Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, as its sole candidate for the 2027 governorship election.
‎ ‎The declaration was contained in the motion moved by one of the stakeholders, Mr. Richard Idike and seconded by,Mr. Kizito Nwenyi.
‎ ‎Stakeholders said the decision was in appreciation of the governor’s developmental strides, including the creation of new autonomous communities, roads construction, school buildings,and the construction of Nwezenyi flyover. ‎
‎Speaking , the Vice Chairman of Izzi Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs. Helen Aduga, described the decision as a show of gratitude, urging continued support for the governor’s second term bid. ‎
‎Also, Mr. Obinna Nwedu, called on residents to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards to support the governor’s re-election.
‎ ‎Earlier, the Chairman of Igbeagu Traditional Rulers Forum and traditional ruler of Nchoko Igbeagu autonomous community, Eze Simeon Nweze enumerated achievements and urged the people to rally round the government for remembering the people and supporting their daughter in the forthcoming local goverment chairmanship election. ‎
‎Some of the stakeholders including, Mr. Monday Nkwuda, Mr., Nduka Awuregu, Prof Joseph Nkwede, Mr. Linus Obeji,Mr. Chiboy Nwezenyi,Mr. Cyril Ibeogu,Mr. Pascal Nwenyi and Mr. Pius Mbam backed the governor for second term ambition. ‎
‎They called on the people to ensure they obtain their Permanent Voters Card,(PVCs) and participate fully in the 2027 general election. ‎
‎The event was witnessed by the five traditional ruler of Igbeagu autonomous communities, town union presidents, village heads, support group leaders and host of others. ‎
