Ebonyi 2027: Izhi Integrated Farms Endorse Governor Francis Nwifuru for Second Term

‎ ‎ ‎A coalition of political stakeholders, community leaders, business figures, and supporters under the platform of Izhi Integrated Farms Nigeria Limited on Monday, May 12, 2026, gathered in a show of solidarity to endorse Francis Nwifuru for a second term in office ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Ebonyi State.
‎ ‎The event, which attracted notable personalities from different sectors, was held with the central message: “Let the Good Work Continue – 4+4=8.” The gathering reflected growing support for the administration’s developmental policies, infrastructural drive, and agricultural transformation efforts across various parts of the state. ‎
‎The Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Bldr. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, was represented at the event by Chief Matthias Adum, Principal Secretary to the Governor of Ebonyi State. ‎ ‎Speaking during the programme, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Izhi Integrated Farms Nigeria Limited, Hon. Ifeanyi Julius Nwibo, described Governor Nwifuru as a “farmers-friendly governor,” noting that significant progress has been recorded in the agricultural sector under the present administration.
‎ ‎According to him, the support and policies of the governor have continued to create opportunities for agricultural growth and innovation within the state. ‎ ‎“Through the help of the governor, we are setting up a skill center to construct and assemble agricultural equipment. It will be of global standard,” he stated. ‎
‎In his remarks, Distinguished Senator Chris Nwankwo, who is the Grand Patron of the association, appreciated Governor Nwifuru for what he described as his practical commitment to agricultural development and food sustainability in Ebonyi State. ‎ ‎“Our Governor has done well. In Ndunwoloshi and Amegu-Enyim, the governor has built dams that would sustain the people throughout the dry season farming,” he said. ‎
‎The elder statesman further noted that the governor deserves another term in office to consolidate and complete ongoing developmental projects across the state. ‎ ‎Other notable speakers at the event included Rev. Dr. Joseph Nwibo, who moved the motion for the endorsement of Governor Francis Nwifuru for a second term in office, while seconded by Dr. Sunday Nwangele. ‎
‎In her closing remarks, Barr. Elizabeth expressed appreciation for the governor’s support toward women in agriculture, noting that the present administration has created opportunities that have encouraged more women to actively venture into farming and agribusiness. ‎ ‎“I am a lawyer by profession, but after my law school, I didn’t just start practicing law, I ventured into agriculture. Since the governor came into power, women have been greatly supported to own not just a farm but hectares of farmland. So why won’t I and other women support his reelection? We are firmly behind him,” she stated. ‎
‎Accepting the endorsement certificate on behalf of the governor, Chief Matthias Adum, Principal Secretary to the Governor, appreciated the organization and members of the association for their support and goodwill toward the administration. ‎ ‎“Thank you for this endorsement and I accept it. God will help us to do better for our people as we are on a mission to transform the lives of not just Izhi people but Ebonyi State at large,” he said.
‎ ‎He further called on the people to continue praying and supporting the administration to enable it sustain its developmental programmes and deliver more democratic dividends to the people. ‎ ‎The endorsement programme also featured the presence of several stakeholders and dignitaries, including Distinguished Senator Chris Nwankwo, Hon. Uchenna Nwankpuma, SSA to the Governor’s Office, Arch. Friday Nwogba, alongside numerous stakeholders and community representatives. ‎ ‎Many of the speakers emphasized the importance of continuity in leadership, particularly in the areas of agriculture, rural development, infrastructure, youth empowerment, and economic sustainability.
‎ ‎The endorsement programme concluded with the presentation of the endorsement certificate, group photographs, and renewed calls for unity, continuity, and sustained development under the leadership of Governor Francis Nwifuru. ‎ Highlights from the event captured moments of solidarity among stakeholders and supporters who described the gathering as a demonstration of confidence in the administration’s leadership direction.
