Ebonyi Sports Commissioner, Idike Hails Gov. Nwifuru’s Primary Victory, Says Ebonyi People Have Renewed Confidence In Him ‎

‎ ‎The Ebonyi State Commissioner for Youth Development and Sports, Hon. Richard Ugo Idike, has congratulated the Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, on his emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 general election.
‎ ‎In a statement issued on behalf of his family, management and staff of the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports, as well as the Ebonyi State Sports Council, Idike described the governor’s victory at the APC governorship primary election as a reflection of the confidence and trust the people of Ebonyi State have in his leadership.
‎ ‎According to the commissioner, Governor Nwifuru’s emergence once again as the APC flag bearer and “the people’s choice” is a clear testimony to his purposeful leadership, remarkable achievements, and commitment to the development and transformation of the state. ‎ ‎He noted that within a short period in office, the governor’s administration has continued to inspire hope through impactful governance, reforms in the sports sector, youth empowerment initiatives, improved healthcare delivery, infrastructural development, human capital advancement, and people-oriented policies that have positively affected citizens across the state. ‎
‎“The well-deserved victory reflects the confidence, trust and overwhelming support reposed in your leadership style by the good people of Ebonyi State and members of our great party,” Idike stated. ‎ ‎He further praised the governor’s humility, dedication and visionary approach to governance, saying the administration has continued to strengthen the collective aspiration for a greater Ebonyi State. ‎ ‎“As you prepare for another mandate of service, we pray that Almighty God grants you greater wisdom, strength, sound health and divine guidance to continue steering the affairs of the state towards sustainable peace, unity and prosperity,” the statement added. ‎
‎The commissioner congratulated the governor on what he described as a remarkable political milestone and wished him greater success in service to Ebonyi State and the nation.
