‎ ‎ ‎Violence disrupted the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial primaries for Ebonyi Central on today following an alleged attack on the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ebonyi State Council, Comrade Samson Nwafor.

‎ ‎The incident occurred at the collation centre in Onueke, where journalists had gathered to cover the exercise. ‎ ‎Eyewitnesses alleged that tension rose after a confrontation involving the Senator representing Ebonyi Central, Senator Ken Eze, who was said to have expressed displeasure over previous media reports.
