Governor Nwifuru Urges Ezza People to Embrace Unity ‎

‎ ‎Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, has called on the Ezza people to remain united and work together for the collective progress of the clan.
‎ ‎The governor made the call at the grand finale of the 2026 Okeaku Ezza Cultural Festival held in Onueke Civic center, Ezza South Local Government Area. ‎ ‎Governor Nwifuru stressed the need to strengthen unity, preserve the cultural heritage of the Ezza people and support the current administration for sustained development.
‎ ‎He dismissed claims that Ezza people are treacherous, noting that throughout his political career from party leadership to serving as Speaker and now Governor, he has worked with many Ezza sons and daughters who demonstrated integrity and loyalty. ‎ ‎He urged traditional rulers to promote peace, unity and hard work among the youth, while discouraging personal ambition, jealousy and political division among the people.
‎ ‎The governor maintained that leadership is determined by God, emphasizing that political rivalry would not influence who succeeds him in office.
‎ ‎Earlier, Chairman of the occasion, Darlington Ugota, described the festival as a reminder of the Ezza identity and urged political office holders to serve with sincerity and a sense of responsibility. ‎
‎Also speaking, Chairman of the Elders Council, Ugo Chima; Chairman of the Ebonyi State Traditional Rulers Council, Ezeogo Charles Nkpuma; Chairman of Ezza South Local Government Area, Ogodo-Ali Nomeh, and other stakeholders reaffirmed the Ezza people's support for Governor Nwifuru, describing their backing as non-negotiable.
