2027: Stakeholders Declare Ojimba Sure Bet For Ebonyi North Senate

Stakeholders of Ebonyi North Senatorial Zone has tipped a front line Senatorial contender and APGA Candidate, Mr Chikodili Ojimba, for victory come January 16, 2027 National Assembly election in the State. Recall that Ojimba, a business man from Ebonyi Local Government Area is challenging Senator Peter Onyekachi Nwebonyi who's currently a serving Senator and the Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate.
Speaking to our correspondent, an August meeting organized for the women of Ebonyi Local Government Area, Chief Maurice Mbam said that the candidacy of Ojimba has been widely accepted by the people of Ebonyi North, stressing that Ojimba's Senatorial bid is ordained by God and he come out victorious come January 16 National Assembly election. Maurice Mbam, popularly known as 'AGUIYI' argued that Ebonyi North Senatorial seat has always been a single tenured and it is right for Ojimba to replace Onyekachi Nwebonyi who is serving out his tenure come 2027.
On his part, a former member of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Hon. Victor Aleke said, though, Senator Nwebonyi has done well but it's time for him to go for Chief Ojimba Chikodili to take his shot and represent the people of the zone. Aleke express strong conviction and conference in Ojimba's Senatorial victory, describing it is a done deal. The former Lawmaker hinged his argument on the premise that no Izzi man has ever taken a second shot at the Senate and as such, Nwebonyi should give way for Ojimba, assuring that Ojimba will also go for one term and hand over another. He revealed that though, the single term agreement was not written in any paper but in the hearts of Izzi people and should be respected. He however, expressed strong support for the second term bid of Governor Francis Nwifuru asserting that no Governor since the creation of the state has served a single tenure, hence the need for Ebonyi people to support his second term bid and administration, which he said, has done very well for the people of the state. The women Chanted in solidarity to the Senatorial ambition of Ojimba, and assured of the support of the women.
