APGA Senatorial Candidate Condemns Killing of Supporter In Ebonyi

‎ ‎ ‎The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) senatorial candidate for Ebonyi North Senatorial District, Chief Ojimba Chikaodili Ojimba, has condemned the killing of Elder Onwe Ubochi of Osege Village, Umuogudu Oshia Ngbo, in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
‎Ojimba, in a statement, described the incident as a gruesome and unacceptable act, calling on security agencies to urgently investigate the killing and bring the perpetrators to justice.
‎ ‎According to him, Elder Ubochi was killed hours after leading prayers and endorsing the APGA candidate for Ebonyi/Ohaukwu Federal Constituency, Barrister Tochukwu Ogalagu. ‎ ‎The senatorial candidate also alleged that some APGA supporters in the area had been subjected to verbal and physical threats, assuring them of continued protection through the relevant security agencies. ‎ ‎He, however, urged supporters to remain calm and law-abiding, stressing that the party would not resort to violence or reprisal attacks. ‎ ‎Ojimba called on the security agencies to fish out those responsible for the killing, warning that failure to apprehend the perpetrators could heighten tension and threaten peace and security in the area. ‎ ‎“On behalf of my family and supporters, I condole with the bereaved family of Elder Ubochi and pray for the repose of his soul,” Ojimba said, adding that he would await the outcome of the police investigation.
