Ebonyi NDC Reps Candidate, Eze Visits Enyim Agbaja Women, Pledges People-Centred Representation

‎ ‎Nigeria Democratic Congress,(NDC)House of Representatives candidate for Abakaliki/Izzi Federal Constituency, Hon. Beatrice Eze, has paid a solidarity visit to the Enyim Agbaja Community Women’s Wing in Offiaonwe Agbaja Ward 3, Ebyia Development Centre, Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State where she assured the people of proper representation if elected in the 2027 general election.

‎ ‎Eze made the pledge when she visited the group yesterday being Friday, August 14, 2026, where she met with executives and representatives of the women’s wing drawn from various villages across the community. ‎

‎ ‎Speaking during the event , Hon. Eze emphasized the importance of listening to the people as a fundamental requirement for effective political representation, stressing that elected representatives must remain accessible and responsive to the needs of their constituents. ‎

‎She noted that representation goes beyond occupying a seat in the National Assembly, but requires effective advocacy, accountability and a commitment to advancing the interests of the people. ‎ ‎The visit also highlighted the role of women in community development and democratic participation, with Eze calling for greater inclusion of women in political and developmental processes.

‎ ‎She said her engagement with communities across the constituency would continue as part of efforts to understand their concerns, aspirations and expectations ahead of the 2027 elections. ‎ ‎The NDC candidate maintained that politics should be anchored on trust, service, meaningful relationships and genuine commitment to the welfare of the people, rather than being limited to election campaigns.

‎ ‎She expressed her commitment to pursuing inclusive representation and people-centred leadership if elected to represent Abakaliki/Izzi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

The women expressed excitement over her visit and the opportunity to engage directly with her ahead of the 2027 general elections. ‎ ‎ ‎Eze’s visit forms part of her ongoing grassroots engagements as political activities gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 elections. ‎
