Just In: Igwe, Nwachi, Others Applaud Ubeyi DC Coordinator, Nwachi's Empowerment Scheme

Ebonyi State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters Stephen Uchenna Igwe has applauded the Coordinator of Ubeyi Development Centre Afikpo, Hon Chief Mrs Aisha Nwachi. Hon Igwe gave the commendation on Monday when he handed over the keys of 10 Haojue Motorcycles to the Management Committee members and Principal Officers of Ubeyi DC donated to them by the Coordinator at the Enohia Itim Community Primary School field, Afikpo.

The Commissioner described the donation as timely, given the need for mobility of Management Committee members to spread the political gospel of the APC in all the communities under the Centre. Speaking also, the Chairman of Afikpo LGA, Timothy Nwachi stated that the Coordinator has paid her dues by deeming it necessary to empower her Management Committee members with motorcycles. Inaugurating a skill acquisition centre for sustainable skill acquisition and training built by the Coordinator, Commissioner for Skills Development, Professor Ajuka Nwogo Obasi said the skills training facility aligns strategically with the Governor's vision of getting the youths busy and engaged with sellable soft and hard skills needed to take them off the streets. Out of the 10 Haojue Motorcycles, 8 for Management Committee members and two for Administrative and Financial Officers of the Centre. The skills training facility the Coordinator noted, incorporates content creation centre, hairdressing, tailoring, and solar installation.
