Izzi Council Boss Reaffirms Commitment To Quality Education

The Executive Chairman of Izzi Local Government Area and Chairman of the Ebonyi State Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Hon. Mrs. Helen Nnenna Aduga, has reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to promoting quality education and human capital development in the area.

Aduga stated this on weekend when the management and staff of Junction Secondary School, Nwezenyi, Igbeagu Community, paid her a courtesy visit at her residence in Abakaliki.

The council boss described education as a catalyst for social and mental development, urging teachers and school administrators to remain dedicated to their responsibilities in shaping the future of the younger generation. She warmly received the delegation and appreciated them for the visit, while assuring them of her continued support and commitment to the development of the education sector in Izzi LGA.

The delegation, led by the SEB and UBEB principals of the school, Mrs. Okeye Bernadette and Mrs. Ukpia Susan, respectively, also congratulated Aduga on her successful swearing-in as the first female Executive Chairman of Izzi LGA and Chairman of Ebonyi State ALGON. The school management expressed confidence in her leadership and wished her a successful tenure as she assumes responsibility for the administration of the council area.

Other members of the delegation included the Dean of Studies, Mr. Nwofoke Cletus; a teacher, Mr. Nwifuru Augustine; and the Senior Prefect, Master Nwenyi Uchechukwu.
