Lawmaker Lauds Tinubu, Nwifuru For CNG Conversion Centre In Ebonyi

‎ ‎ ‎The member representing Abakaliki North Constituency in the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Hon. Chidi Victor Nwoke, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Francis Nwifuru for facilitating the establishment of a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) conversion centre in the state.
‎ ‎Nwoke described the commissioning of the centre as a significant development that would provide residents with access to cleaner and more affordable energy alternatives, while reducing the impact of rising fuel costs. ‎ ‎The lawmaker stated this in Abakaliki while speaking on the commissioning of the CNG conversion centre, described as the first of its kind in the South-East. ‎
‎He said the project demonstrated the commitment of the Tinubu administration to promoting alternative energy sources and reducing the economic burden on Nigerians. ‎ ‎Nwoke also commended Governor Nwifuru for creating an enabling environment for the project to be established in Ebonyi, describing the centre as an important addition to the state's growing infrastructure and investment profile. ‎
‎He urged residents, transport operators and other stakeholders to take advantage of the initiative and support government efforts to promote the adoption of CNG in the state. ‎ ‎Speaking on the importance of technical education, Nwoke encouraged youths to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the centre by enrolling in relevant training programmes and acquiring skills in CNG conversion, installation and maintenance. ‎
‎According to him, the development would not only provide an alternative source of energy but also create employment opportunities and equip young people with technical skills that could make them self-reliant. ‎ ‎He called for greater public awareness on the benefits and safe use of CNG, stressing the need for qualified technicians and strict adherence to safety standards in the conversion and maintenance of vehicles.
