Prioritize Your Health, Ebonyi NUJ Chairman Advises Members ‎

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ebonyi State Council, Samson Nwafor, has advised journalists to prioritize their health and seek medical attention promptly.

‎ ‎Nwafor gave the advice today during an in-reach medical exercise organized as part of the 2026 NUJ Press Week at the Dr. Sam Egwu Press Centre in Abakaliki. ‎ ‎He said the exercise was introduced to enable journalists, whose jobs often involve demanding schedules, to identify and address common health challenges early. ‎ ‎The NUJ Chairman commended members for their participation and thanked the medical partners for providing quality services. ‎ ‎He pledged to sustain and improve the initiative during subsequent editions of the annual Press Week. ‎ ‎The Press Week Committee Chairman, Israel Ekene-Mbam; State Secretary, Chinaza John; and South-East Zonal Secretary, Emmanuel Irem, commended the council leadership and members for their participation. ‎ ‎They said the Press Week also provided journalists an opportunity to inspect ongoing and completed government projects across the state and reaffirmed their commitment to objective journalism. ‎ ‎Our correspondent reports that more than two hundred Journalists participated in the medical exercise, one of the activities marking the 2026 Press Week. ‎
