The Reaction Of Men Cannot Stop Mandate Of Professor Ani
The growing recognition of the performance of the Senator representing Ebonyi South Senatorial District, Senator Professor Anthony Ani, and the increasing support for his re-election bid have continued to strengthen his chances ahead of the 2027 general elections.
A recent publication in Daily Trust newspaper of Tuesday, September 8, 2026, particularly reports on the senator’s role in facilitating numerous employment opportunities for his constituents in the Federal Road Safety Corps. The development, among other interventions, has further highlighted his efforts toward improving the welfare of the people of Ebonyi South.
Beyond employment facilitation, Senator Ani has remained active in his core legislative responsibilities, including lawmaking, oversight of government activities and participation in the confirmation of key appointments.
He has sponsored, debated and voted on bills aimed at creating or amending national laws. As a member of several Senate committees, he has also continued to serve as a strong voice for Ebonyi South, presenting the concerns and aspirations of his constituents before the Federal Government.
The Senator’s office has equally provided a platform through which members of the constituency can present public complaints, community challenges and other concerns requiring government attention.
While Senator Ani continues to receive commendation from sections of the constituency for his representation, some political actors are already promoting alternative candidates ahead of the 2027 elections. However, the ultimate decision rests with the electorate, whose judgment will be determined by their assessment of the various candidates and their records of service.
As one of the lawmakers widely regarded by his supporters as accessible and responsive, Senator Ani continues to advocate for projects, development initiatives and increased government attention to the component communities of Ebonyi South.
According to Big Ogbonna, the criticism and political activities of his opponents cannot derail what he described as the senator’s growing political mandate.
He maintained that Senator Professor Elder Anthony Okorie Ani, popularly known as the Ike Oha of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has demonstrated sufficient commitment to his constituents and should be allowed to continue his representation beyond 2027.
