Ebonyi APGA Senatorial Candidate Canvasses Support for Nwifuru, Tinubu’s Re-election

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) senatorial candidate for Ebonyi North, Chikaodili Ojimba, has called for support for the re-election of Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru and President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections. Ojimba made the call during the inauguration of the Chipping Seller Movement at the APGA State Secretariat in Abakaliki, where he urged members to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the polls. He said the movement was expected to promote APGA candidates while mobilising support for Nwifuru’s second-term ambition and Tinubu’s re-election bid. The senatorial candidate also disclosed that plans were underway to extend the movement’s activities to Ebonyi Central and Ebonyi South, stressing the need for peaceful political engagement, inclusiveness and sustained community development. Earlier, the APGA candidate for Ebonyi/Ohaukwu Federal Constituency, Tochukwu Ogalagu, urged members to strengthen their grassroots structures, educate voters and refrain from spreading misinformation. Similarly, the APGA State Chairman, Chukwudi Nwankwo, called for effective coordination, issue-based campaigns and peaceful political participation ahead of the elections. The National President of the Chipping Seller Movement, Emeka Nwobiya, disclosed that the organisation had awarded scholarships to 150 beneficiaries to study at universities of their choice. Nwobiya also announced the movement’s decision to support Ojimba’s senatorial ambition in 2027, pledging to promote peaceful political participation across Ebonyi State.
