Senator Ani: A Politician Without Record Of Violence And Thuggery
The Senator representing Ebonyi South Senatorial District, Professor Anthony Ani, has been described by his supporters as a peace-loving politician who believes in democratic principles, the rule of law and constitutional processes.
In an opinion poll recently conducted by one of the political Analyst, Big Ogbonna, the lawmaker and educationist was portrayed as a leader who rejects the use of physical force, intimidation and coercion as instruments of political power.
According to the political analyst, Senator Ani is known for advocating fair competition, lawful political engagement and the use of the ballot rather than violence in the pursuit of political objectives.
He further described Ani as a politician whose approach to public service places emphasis on ethics, accountability and respect for human life and civil order.
The analyst also linked the Senator's reform-oriented political philosophy to his reported opposition to corruption and political thuggery, arguing that violence and intimidation have contributed significantly to political instability and insecurity in Nigeria.
He said Senator Ani has consistently advocated persuasion, constructive debate, policy-based campaigns and public service rather than coercion, particularly during political engagements.
He noted that the Senator and Ike-Oha 1 of Igboeze Onicha recognized his constitutional right to seek another term in office and has continued to preach against lawlessness and intimidation during political campaigns.
As a political analyst, he argued that Senator Ani's emphasis on accountability and respect for legal frameworks should remain part of the public conversation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
