The erstwhile Commissioner for Agriculture,Ogodo Ali Nome has today been reinstated as commissioner member in Ebonyi State with full restoration of his salaries at Exco Chambers,Government House,Abakaliki.
The Commissioner whose political job was terminated on alleged romance with opposition party member and for ignoring stakeholder meeting with the Governor few months ago has been swored in,though, his position was yet to be known as his previous position has been given out.
According to our source, the inauguration ceremony was said to be witnessed by some dignitaries among the chairman of Governing Council Members of Ebonyi State College of Education, Ikwo which have Chief Fidelis Nwankwo.

In his acceptance speech,Chief Ogodo Ali Nome pledged to give his utmost support to the government of Engr. Chief Umahi.
"I am ever ready to serve Ebonyi State government in any capacity I am mandated to.
However, Chief Nome blamed his past poor records on the immediate Secretary to the State Government who had resigned, prof.Ben Odo,whom he said he had influenced him against the government of Umahi.
"The man, Odo who is indeed an enemy of the state did everything humanly possible to push me out of the government but God is not man.
"Gov. Umahi is indeed a God fearing man, he has been my friends and he remains my best friend". Etc.
Gov.Umahi appreciated Chief Nome for his political sagacity, noting that irrespective of his termination of post never kicked against the ruling government but rather play maturity through out the period he was relieved of post, stressing that he was misinformed of the issue that led to his sack which he said Ogodo Ali wouldn't have been dismissed considering the report that caused his job termination but assure him of his allowances in the period past.
Similarly, the Ebonyi State College of education has been fully accredited as a degree awarding institution courtesy of the leadership of the governor, Engr. David Nweze Umahi.
Umahi further explained that the state government has uncovered illegal heavy taxation in the state and has deceided to put an end to it.
He said some persons have been arrested for the act.
“There has been  very serious concern in our society whereby our people are groaning under heavy taxation and unfortunately we are not seeing this money. We hardly get N25million from such taxation. And so, in the weeks coming, we want to do stakeholders meeting and the
stakeholders meeting is going to invite the elders, students union leadership, the labour union leadership, the market women and men, the landlords and all the revenue contractors.
“I have directed that all the chargeable revenues should be published ahead of the time on radio and televisions so that on that day the women will come and say how much they are being charged and the means of collection. We will deploy PS and minimized the issue of collection
by cash.
“We are aware of a lot of  illegal collection which the society alone can help us and I believe that after that stakeholders meeting, everybody will begin to be helpful. We have arrested a number of them and we will send them to the police to charge them to the court and our penalty for such collection is so severe”, the governor said.
