I'll Promote Institutions, Policies To Strengthen Human Rights~Adol-Awam

Ebonyi State gubernatorial candidate under the platform of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, (NNPP) Prophet Dr. Adol-Awam Chris has promised that when elected into office would strengthen human rights institutions and policies in the state. The NNPP Guber Candidate stated this during the Human Rights Town Hall Session organized by National Human Rights Commission today, 2nd February, 2023 at Cirene Hotel, Abakaliki. While reacting to questions and concerns of participants during the session, he hinted that one of the pointers of civilization and people-oriented leadership is an absolute adherence to the rule of law, checks and balances. He explained that human rights, press freedom, and autonomy to every institutions and arms of government would remain pivotal under his administration. “Under my watch, the judiciary, LG Councils, and the Press will be allowed to operate within the provisions of the constitution without intimidation and suppression.

" This is because of I have been a victim of intimidation and that depressing system must be abolished if we must run an inclusive government where every Ebonyian will thrive“. Prophet Adol-Awam clearly reiterated his commitment to reform the civil service through upward review of salaries to match inflation surge, hence, improve infrastructure in public schools, implement quality free and compulsory education from primary to secondary schools and scholarships to best performing students at the tertiary level. Other Guber candidates present were the YPP, APP, APGA and PDP Candidates including the Police, Civil Society Organizations and the media.
