Hardship: Let's go back to farming -APC Chairman advises

The Ebonyi state chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC Chief Stanley Okoro-Emegha has said that farming is the only solution to avert the increase hunger facing Nigerians.
Chief Emegha made the disclosure while responding to question field by Journalists during his 54th birthday celebration in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state capital.
Emegha who called on Nigerians to return back to crop and livestock farming explained that every family turning their backyard into vegetable garden and poultry farm would reduce the increase in demand to meet household needs.
He emphasized that the country's present challenge would be surmounted with collective contributions of all Nigerians irrespective of class.
"Things are hard in the country, but the much we can do is to be bold and pull our ideas together as to overcome the challenges.
"I want everybody to embrace agriculture; let's feed first, these are things we can do by ourselves and I have told my family that all of us have to go into food cultivation.
"If you have food, I don't think you will count yourself among the people that are lacking.
"Let's embark fully into agricultural activities and reduce our engagement on English things.
Reacting on the call for the resignation of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP due to risen hardship, the party chairman said that hunger has no party and challenged Nigerians to return back to crop and livestock farming.
"We should go back home and think about what we can produce by ourselves as Mr president will not do everything by himself and this is not all about party ruling the country.
"We can solve our problem, because if there's food sufficiency now, many people will boycott Abuja.
"For instance, if you go to Aba now and told them that you are an honourable member, people will look at you as a fool and that should be compliment in other states and areas with farming, most especially". Emegha said
