Senator Akpabio sworn-in Dr Achi, 36 others

The President of the Nigerian Senate,His Excellency Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio on 25th September, 2024 swore in Dr Chris Achi and Thirty-six others nominated across the country as the Federal Commissioners of the Public Complaints Commission.

The Public Complaints Commission also referred as the Ombudsman is an organ of the Federal Government of Nigeria with core mandate of controlling administrative excesses, non adherence to procedures or abuse of laws, as well as redressing complaints lodged by aggrieved citizens or residents in Nigeria against administrative injustice.

Speaking, the senator representing Ebonyi North and deputy chief whip, Senator Onyekachi Nwebonyi congratulated the new appointees and thanked the state governor, Francis Nwifuru for his support. "We give God all the glory for the appointment of our son, Dr Chris Achi as the Federal Commissioner, Public complaints Commission. "And We must also thank our Governor, His Excellency Right Honourable Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, who gave enough to this appointment, because I know, if the Governor has said otherwise, we couldn't have been here, but the Governor gave his support, when I made the nomination.It's good to keep the record straight. So, we thank our Governor for his support on this appointment. "Congratulations, my dear brother, Dr Chris Achi and to God be the glory!
