Ndiechi Community: Eze Nwoba Emerges Traditional Ruler, Assures Inclusive Leadership

The traditional ruler of Ndiechi Igbeagu autonomous community, His Royal Highness, Eze Jonas Nnanna Nwoba has assured of inclusive leadership appealing for stakeholders support to make the community the most peaceful among contemporaries.
Eze Nwoba made the promise shortly after his successful coronation at the Alibaruhu primary school field on weekend. He commended Ebonyi state Governor, Francis Nwifuru for the great stride in entrenching peace in all part of the state and the coronation committee as well as Oha-Izhi for their good work noting that peace would be his major priority.
"It gives me joy seeing the level of your contributions to make this event success especially at the committee level and wish to tell you that I am a lover of peace. "So, wish to beg all of us knowing that Ndiechi people are lover of hardworking and don't support laziness, hence, I solicit for your support to His Excellency, Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru who is a lover of peace, making all part of the state peaceful and happily this is the time I am coming to give my support as a traditional ruler.
"My government will be the one that will accommodate the youths and elders; not the type that will ignore anyone or section of the community, but will embrace the haves and have nots as well as encourage education while appealing for support of all the stakeholders to ensure we succeed and the best among the contemporaries." he added. Performing the coronation rite, the chairman of the apex socio-cultural organization in Izhi land, Oha-Izhi, His Royal Highness Eze Sunday Oketa blessed and coronated Eze Nwoba and prayed for peace and growth of the community in prosperity and oneness.
The permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government And Chieftaincy Matters, Chief Chukwu described the selection process of the traditional ruler as transparent and enjoined stakeholders support to make the community the most peaceful. Earlier in his sermon, the Catholic priest of St Jude's Parish Oferekpe, Rev Fr Paul Elom said that God is a giver of a ruler and charged the people to give necessary support to their king while warning cabinet members not to mislead the traditional ruler as to lead the people right. Also, the Chairman Central planning committee,Dr Peter Igboke and his counterpart, Secretary, Dr. Friday Nkwede enjoined the traditional ruler to led the people with a fear of God, there by, leaving a legacy of truthfulness, uprightness and service to humanity. They appealed to the State Government to remember sons and daughters of the new community in position of trust noting of the capacity of the people in human resourcefulness and humility. "My central message to him is to serve as a king who will leave a legacy for the community, Local Government, and Ebonyi state with legacy of service to humanity, truthfulness,right judgement uprightness and in his dealing as a leader of this community. "Let him always seek the face of God, the Bible talked about the heart of a king which He turns in His own way, therefore, that's the kind of heart I would want him to have turning to God at a time of challenge for wisdom. Lending his voice, the Coordinator of Igbeagu Development Center, Mr Obinna Nwedu commended the state Governor, Francis Nwifuru for his intervention in ensuring peaceful emergence of the traditional ruler in the new communities. He congratulated Eze Nwoba for his peaceful enthronement revealing that there's no kindred segregation in Izhi clan as propagated by some naysayers adding that what people see as the syndrome was rather hatred and envy as nobody has ever raised a struggling member of his kindred to become rich for reason of belonging to the kindred. On their part, the chairman of the occasion and former lawmaker representing Ebonyi East state constituency, Vincent Nwibo, senior lecturer in Ebonyi state University, professor Joseph Nkwede and Eze Ndigbo Ohaneze Northern Abayun Ikom in Cross River state, Chief Benard Nwifuru thanked stakeholders for their support and appealed for sustenance of the goodwills to make the new traditional ruler succeed.
