Buhari's Death, A Colossal Loss, Says Senator Ani

The Senator representing Ebonyi South Senatorial distric,Professor Anthony Okorie-Ani has described the death of the former president of Nigeria, Mohammad Buhari as an immense loss to the nation.
He made this known to newsmen while reacting to the information about Mohammad Buhari that reportedly gave up ghost on Sunday 13th July, 2025 at London hospital as a result of illness and thereby described the deceased as an epitome of integrity.
He added that the late Duara born leader had made unbelievable legacies during his days as the Military Head of State between December, 1983 and August, 1985 through War Against Indiscipline (WAI) launched to implement public morality and civic obligations.
The federal lawmaker further disclosed that late Buhari had served as the first governor of Borno State at the age of 32, pioneer chairman of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, chairman of Petroleum Trust Fund among others before he was democratically elected as the president in 2015.
“Late Buhari was a symbol of courage who contested for presidency in 2003, 2007 and 2011 respectively before he emerged as the winner in 2015.
“During his regime, he was able to affect lives positively through N-Power programme and the National Social Investment programme launched in 2016 to support vulnerable citizenry” he said.
Senator Ani also expressed his heartfelt condolences to the people of Katsina State and the entire Ngerians and prayed God to grant the deceased eternal rest.
