Ebonyi Lady Empowers 50 Youths Through Household Items Production

The Chief Executive Officer of Pomafriq Nigeria Limited, Pharmacist Chidera Chima Ihebinandu, has reaffirmed her company’s commitment to empowering youths through skill acquisition programmes designed to promote meaningful and sustainable livelihoods.
Pharmacist Ihebinandu made this known during the official flag-off ceremony of a five-day intensive training programme for fifty students held in Abakaliki on Thursday. The initiative, according to her, is part of Pomafriq Nigeria Limited’s corporate social responsibility aimed at building capacity and reducing unemployment among young people.
Pomafriq Nigeria Limited, in partnership with the Regina Pacis Foundation, is training the participants on the production of household items such as quality soaps and detergents. The training, she said, seeks to discourage the circulation of substandard products in the market while equipping participants with practical knowledge that will enable them to become self-reliant entrepreneurs. Pharmacist Ihebinandu emphasized that every individual possesses the potential to learn and develop valuable skills irrespective of their educational background. She noted that the current economic challenges in the country make it imperative for citizens to embrace productive ventures that can provide sustainable income and financial independence.
According to her, the initiative also aligns with her company’s long-term vision of building a society where citizens are not solely dependent on government or white-collar jobs but can generate wealth through skill-based enterprises. She added that Pomafriq Nigeria Limited would continue to support programmes that encourage creativity, productivity, and self-employment among Nigerian youths.
Some of the beneficiaries, including Ikpa Success from Egwudinagu Ishieke and Nwangwu Confidence, expressed gratitude to Pomafriq Nigeria Limited for the opportunity. They described the training as timely and impactful, adding that it has inspired them to explore entrepreneurship and contribute meaningfully to the economic growth of their communities. Saintakpomiemie.blogspot.com reports that the five-day training continues through the week, with participants expected to showcase their newly acquired skills during the closing ceremony. The organisers say the most outstanding participants will receive start-up kits to enable them to begin production immediately after the training.
